login

Usage

The `login` command signs you in to the Gruntwork Developer Portal, so `terragrunt catalog` can discover the repositories your organization selected there.

Examples

Sign in to the Gruntwork Developer Portal.

Terminal window
terragrunt --experiment tg-login login

Sign in again, replacing a credential that has not expired yet.

Terminal window
terragrunt --experiment tg-login login --force

Signing in

login uses the OAuth 2.0 Device Authorization Grant (RFC 8628). Running it prints a one-time code and opens your browser to the portal’s approval page.

Credentials

Terragrunt keeps one credential per organization, in terragrunt/tokens.json under your user configuration directory:

  • Linux: $XDG_CONFIG_HOME/terragrunt/tokens.json, or ~/.config/terragrunt/tokens.json when XDG_CONFIG_HOME is unset
  • macOS: ~/Library/Application Support/terragrunt/tokens.json
  • Windows: %AppData%\terragrunt\tokens.json

Flags

--force

Start a new login even though a credential from an earlier login has not expired. The new credential replaces the stored one for the organization you approve.
